Weekly #17

Launch of findparts.in , new blogposts from Vishnu, and a lot more this week at the Makerville Community!

Weekly #17
  • findparts.in - made by hackers from Lagrange Point in BLR - is a quick search site for electronics components.
    • See their x.com thread
    • This is cool because Arnav and Rithwik have crawled and indexed a few sites so far, and that's easier said than done
    • We have our vendor list on the wiki - but it's still quite tedious to go through them and search for something in particular manually
    • Ofcourse we have already started spamming them with feature requests :) - see thread on the group here
  • Vishnu wrote a nice post on how to integrate the Designed and Made in India Zerodrag ELRS Receiver with Arduino
  • Vishnu's awesome series on learning assembly using STM8 has a new post - push buttons with interrupt
  • Are people moving away from X/Twitter to Bluesky? Anool wonders and others discuss here
  • Milind was wondering what these connectors are called
    • Akshay says they are terminal block spring type connectors - useful if you don't want to screw/unscrew too many times - link
  • RP2040 & FPGA discussion with Akshar and Dhiru
  • CH585 is a new SOC with BLE and USB - from the makers of the popular CH32V chips
  • Akshar posted a link to this kickstarter where they have integrated a display and a keyboard together!
  • A bit shy on the technical details, but here's a post from Aether's founder about their journey building EV factories
  • Weird pinout alert
    • JT has an amplifier with a similar set of pads
